SKYCAM Visual Display Unit

The SKYCAM VDU is the heart of the independent Flight Deck Door Monitoring system. The VDU allows the pilot to monitor the area outside the flight deck cockpit door and complements all Armoured cockpit doors. The VDU is also used with our cargo monitoring systems, external camera systems and passenger cabin recording systems.

The new 5" VDU is a direct replacement for the outgoing 4" VDU and is a result of extensive design and development of this reliable and popular product. It will fit directly into the same footprint as the 4" VDU and also uses the same connectors, so retro-fitting takes less than 5 minutes.

The 5" VDU uses new display technology giving a bright and crisp image with a display that is 38% larger, but has the same footprint as the old VDU. The Day/Night switch also uses variable brightness control, allowing the pilot to select the perfect image for day or night operations.

Universal Camera

The Universal Camera is a high resolution colour camera for use on commercial aircraft as part of a Flight Deck Door Monitoring System (FDDMS) or other camera applications.

The camera displays real time video and can be positioned in the ceiling or sidewall panel of the passenger cabin. The images captured on the cameras are displayed to the flight crew using the Skycam Visual Display Unit.

Wall Camera

The Wall Camera is a high resolution colour camera for use on commercial aircraft as part of a Flight Deck Door Monitoring System (FDDMS) or other camera applications.

The camera displays real time video and can be positioned in the sidewall or ceiling panel of the passenger cabin. The images captured on the cameras are displayed to the flight crew using the Skycam Visual Display Unit.

Short Universal Camera

SKYCAM Digital Recorder

The new SKYCAM digital recorder has been designed to complement our existing SKYCAM VDU to provide 16 hours of high quality video recording onto a single 32GB SD card. This can be extended to over 250 hours using a formatted 512GB storage card.

The digital recorder will fit directly above or below the SKYCAM VDU into a standard flight deck panel using a 5.75” DZUS footprint.

Analogue to Digital Converter

The SKYCAM composite to IP Video Converter module will allow existing analogue cameras installed in the cabin to be interfaced to the expanding range of electronic flight bag displays and digital recording systems available on the market.

It offers flexible camera selection and display options and software to support data overlay, smart display of cameras and recording.

Micro-Foursight

Specifically designed for aircraft monitoring applications, micro-FourSight allows up to 4 cameras to be viewed on one screen whilst being very compact and power efficient measuring just 82 x 53 x 11.5mm, weighing 60g and consuming just 1.9W.

Micro-FourSight will operate with almost any composite analogue video source, automatically configuring itself for PAL or NTSC operation.

SKYCAM Installation Kit

Each SKYCAM system is supplied with a bespoke installation kit comprising of connectors, video and power wiring harnesses and circuit breakers to ensure the installation of any SKYCAM system runs smoothly and efficiently.

The modification kits complement the EASA approved Mod packages for system integration.
